The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dougan takes a swing at Valknut's ribcage but misses.
Dougan connects with a solid leg kick.
Valknut lands with a good body shot.
Valknut tries to clinch but Dougan moves out of range.
Dougan misses with a looping left.
Valknut drops his hands momentarily and Dougan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Dougan throws an overhand right that lands on Valknut's shoulder, as Valknut tries to avoid the shot.

and Valknut counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dougan fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Valknut checks it well.

Dougan lands with an uppercut that bounces Valknut off the cage and back into rage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rob Dougan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Valknut keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dougan.

Dougan has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
