Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Sweeney or perhaps it was just good defense by Bowron which made him look bad.
Bowron gets a clinch.
Bowron lands an uppercut.
Bowron breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sweeney shoots in for a double leg but Bowron sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bowron throws a good cross that connects.
Bowron slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Ben Sweeney has been cut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sweeney is defended easily by Bowron.
Ross Bowron has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Sweeney.
Sweeney fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bowron drops Sweeney with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sweeney looks back up at him and smiles so Bowron waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Sweeney is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Bowron - that will leave a mark!
Sweeney is still on wobbly legs! Can Bowron finish him?

Nice sprawl there from Bowron as Sweeney shoots in.
Sweeney feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Sweeney seems to have recovered his senses.

Sweeney tries to free his leg and advance position but Bowron is retaining full guard.

Bowron is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sweeney shoots in and drives through. Bowron sprawls well.
Bowron thuds a left hand into Sweeney's body.
Bowron connects with a nice looking jab.
Sweeney fails to land the takedown.
Bowron drives through and clinches with Sweeney against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bowron creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Bowron lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sweeney backwards.
Bowron makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Bowron lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Bowron breaks from the clinch.
Bowron scores with a crisp jab that stopped Sweeney in his tracks.
Sweeney takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Bowron connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That has opened up Ben Sweeney's cut even more.
Bowron walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Sweeney drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Bowron swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Sweeney's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ross Bowron!
