Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kazushi Yamazaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazushi Yamazaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, George Kennedy!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy circles away from the clinch attempt.

Kennedy shoots in looking for a takedown. Yamazaki tries to sprawl out of it but Kennedy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yamazaki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kennedy drops back, looking for a kneebar! Yamazaki looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Yamazaki looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Yamazaki!

Yamazaki wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Kennedy uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Yamazaki is stalling here. Kennedy is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Yamazaki seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kennedy has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
