Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jolly Roger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Casey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Billy Casey will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Casey shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Roger sprawls well. Roger wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Casey gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Casey or perhaps it was just good defense by Roger which made him look bad.

Jolly Roger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Casey.
Roger shoots for a double leg takedown but Casey sprawls well. He's pushed Roger's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Casey moves out of range as Roger throws a body kick.
Casey fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Casey shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Roger but Roger pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Roger could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Casey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Roger sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Casey somewhat.

Roger feints and as Casey raises his hands in defense, Roger changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Casey is looking for a triangle here but Roger uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Roger gets to mount! Casey was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Roger looking to secure an arm triangle but Casey defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Casey tries to reverse the position but Roger maintains control.
Casey sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Casey is staying active underneath Roger, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Casey has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Roger can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Casey is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Roger got a little sloppy there for a moment and Casey has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Roger has managed to get both his arms back between Casey's legs - danger averted.

Casey has his foot on Roger's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Roger works his way back into a safe position though.
