The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paining ducks right into an uppercut from Marciano.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Marciano has his foot on Paining's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Paining works his way back into a safe position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Paining has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Marciano finds it's way round the side to connect with Paining's head.
Paining uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Marciano.
Paining fails with the takedown

and Marciano counters with a shoot takedown. Paining fights it but they end up in guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Marciano throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Marciano misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Marciano counters with a left and a right that stings Paining.

Paining closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Marciano to the mat! Marciano manages to get full guard.

Paining seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Marciano shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Paining is backing up but Marciano catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Paining covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Marciano Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
