Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Matador (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Matador!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clark Kent!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent throws a wild body kick that Matador sees coming a mile off.
Kent cracks Matador with a right hand to the side of the head.
Matador swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Kent wants to slow Matador down by chopping away at his legs.
Matador tries to clinch up but Kent circles away and keeps his distance.
Matador lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kent throws a head kick that misses.

Kent manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Matador on his heels. He'll look to pass Matador's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Matador keeping moving, preventing Kent from controlling successfully.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kent throwing strikes but missing.
Matador working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kent.
Kent has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Matador is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kent throws a big right hand that misses.
Matador keeping full guard, as Kent tries to pass.
Kent controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Kent has gone for a leg lock! Matador slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kent's guard.
Matador throws a strike but Kent rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Matador looking for a sweep. Not yet Matador, not yet.
Matador can't keep his opponent in guard - Kent advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Matador trying to hold on to Kent's head to control him but Kent postures up.
Kent missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Kent working over Matador with some ground and pound. Matador looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kent is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Matador is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kent scores with a couple of nice shots.
Kent wants to lay and pray for a moment but Matador keeps working.
Kent is just content to waste time from the top position. Matador takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Kent trying to control the position from guard on top but Matador is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kent wants to stand but Matador is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Matador has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kent accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kent loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kent makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Kent throws a big right hand that misses.
Kent wants to stand and escape but instead Matador has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Matador thows a big elbow that misses.
Kent wants to stand up but Matador is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clark Kent dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Matador wants to clinch up but Kent keeps it at a distance.
Kent tries a head kick but it misses.
Matador fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A slow jab from Matador misses its intended target.
Kent keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.


It looks like Jack Matador has been cut.

Matador drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Kent thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Kent looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Matador trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kent wants to get back to his feet but Matador is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Matador makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Clark Kent has got the better of the ground game so far.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kent is on top in guard.
Kent tries to free his leg and advance position but Matador is retaining full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kent throws a strike but Matador rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Matador throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Kent scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Kent connects with a good right hand that stumbles Matador. Matador circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Matador tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kent paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Matador checks a leg kick.
Matador takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Matador throws an overhand right that lands on Kent's shoulder, as Kent tries to avoid the shot.
Matador shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kent pinned against the cage. Kent gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Matador counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kent's guard now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kent is looking to stand up but Matador isn't so interested in that idea.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Matador wants to control from the top but Kent keeps moving.

Matador avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Matador throws and elbow that misses. Kent uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Matador's guard. Nice move by Kent!

Kent lands a couple of digs.
Matador bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kent's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kent is on top in guard.
Kent chips away with some ground and pound.
Kent throws a big right hand that misses.
Kent throws and elbow that misses. Matador uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kent's guard. Nice move by Matador!
Matador wants to control from the top but Kent keeps moving.
Kent being controlled here, momentarily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kent is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kent working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Matador.

Kent scrambles and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nice combo by Kent! Oh, that's hurt him - Matador falls to the canvas and Kent follows him into side control.


Matador is rocked!
Matador is looking for a sweep.
Oh Matador is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kent grinds an elbow into Matador's temple.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kent throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Kent scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Matador is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Kent can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clark Kent!
