Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Saplin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saplin comes into the arena with Invincible blaring out of the sound system. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Saplin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dean Reed!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saplin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Saplin gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Reed shoots in for a double leg but Saplin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dean Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reed missing with a left hand there. Saplin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Saplin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Saplin with a lazy takedown attempt
and Reed counters with a right hand to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Saplin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Reed lands a lovely overhand right.


It looks like Marcus Saplin has been cut.
Reed misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Saplin.
Reed ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Saplin is breathing heavily.
Reed connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Reed lands a really nice looking cross but Saplin seems unphased.
Reed throws a body punch but Saplin moves out of range.
Reed looks to score with a jab to the body but Saplin is just out of range.
Reed changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Saplin takes a shot to the body in his stride.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Reed cracks Saplin with an uppercut from hell and Saplin crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Reed's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!


Saplin is rocked!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Reed slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Oh Saplin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reed lands a strong strike to the head of Saplin. That's dazed him! Reed looking to finish here. Saplin is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Reed lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dean Reed!
