Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thor The Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Materla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Materla has chosen do gory leb as his entrance music. Michal Materla has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Materla gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Materla is sneakily working for an arm triangle but The Hammer sees it coming and defends easily.

Materla is working for a submission of some sort.
The Hammer tries to roll over but Materla keeps him under control.
Materla moves into full mount! The Hammer won't be happy about that!
Materla looking to control but The Hammer is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Materla takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The Hammer manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Materla is trying to control. The Hammer wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Materla looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Michal Materla wasn't active enough on the ground.
Materla shoots for a double leg takedown but The Hammer sprawls well. He's pushed Materla's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A right-left combo lands from The Hammer.
The Hammer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Materla circles away quickly and effectively.
Materla shoots in looking for a takedown. The Hammer tries to sprawl out of it but Materla keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. The Hammer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Thor The Hammer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michal Materla.
The Hammer stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The Hammer goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Horrible takedown by Materla or perhaps it was just good defense by The Hammer which made him look bad.

Materla uses his free foot to push down on The Hammer's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for The Hammer.
