PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nobuhiro Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nakamura might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Breathe. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nobuhiro Nakamura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fred Collins!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Collins. Nakamura does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nakamura with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Collins to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like Nobuhiro Nakamura has been cut.
Nakamura shoots for a takedown but Collins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Collins keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nakamura bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nakamura takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nakamura ducks under a wild hook from Collins.
No joy there for Collins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Collins throws a poor cross that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Nakamura walks into a stiff left hand from Collins.

Nakamura is rocked!
Collins is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Nakamura flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Nakamura is out cold! Collins holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
