Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kay Nine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rocko McGee!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nine closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nine lands in his opponent's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Nine looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Nine wants to control from the top but McGee keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Kay Nine just wasn't active enough.
McGee moves in looking to clinch but Nine pushes him off.

Nine feints and as McGee raises his hands in defense, Nine changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Nine throwing strikes from guard but McGee blocks nicely.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kay Nine wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Nine tries to score a power double leg takedown but McGee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nine somewhat.

Nine drives through with a takedown into McGee's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
McGee wants to stand but Nine is controlling the position.
Nine throws a strike but McGee rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Nine is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McGee is controlling him.

Nine scrambles and gets back to his feet.
McGee is looking to clinch but Nine is avoiding it.
Nine avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nine feints a jab promting McGee to slip. Nine then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. McGee slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

McGee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nine.
McGee doesn't manage to clinch there - Nine circles away.
McGee has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McGee there as he acknowledges the shot.
Nine throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McGee.
Nine fails with the takedown.

McGee moves into range and clinches up with Nine.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nine misses with a punch to the body.
McGee looking to stall.
Nine is trying to break free.
Nine drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kay Nine. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McGee is pressed up against the cage. Nine has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McGee down to the mat. McGee avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Nine is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McGee.
Nine keeps the fight on the outside.
Nine swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McGee takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Nine throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McGee's waist but McGee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nine off to one side.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nine misses with a jab, cross combination.
McGee tries to clinch up.
Nine swats away the attempt to clinch by McGee.
Nine circles away from the clinch attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nine shoots in for a takedown but McGee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
McGee takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

McGee is looking to clinch but Nine is avoiding it.

Nine closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. McGee did well to prevent Nine getting side control.

Nine goes for an armbar but he's not got it… McGee turns into him and now he's in Nine's guard.

and Nine counters with a nice double leg into side control. McGee won't be happy with that.

McGee is not content to let Nine control the position.
Kay Nine overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The strikes coming from Nine are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Nine wants to control for a moment but McGee uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nine thows a huge punch but McGee dodges it nicely.
Nine throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Nine seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


McGee tries to clinch but Nine is having none of it.
McGee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nine paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Nine closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McGee to the mat! McGee manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nine throws and elbow that misses. McGee uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nine's guard. Nice move by McGee!
McGee wants to control from the top but Nine keeps moving.

Nine has his feet on McGee's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
The fight stays on the outside here - McGee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

McGee gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nine to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Nine is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The referee asks Nine politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Nine prefers to stall for the moment though.

Nine sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nine, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
