A left lands for Gerard.
Gerard dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Gerard drops Jones with a beautiful combination! Jones stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gerard is looking for the KO!
It looks like Curtis Jones has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gerard moves out of range of the body kick from Jones.
Curtis Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gerard lands a nice hook to Jones's body. Jones takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Jones fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gerard.
Jones lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Gerard gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Michael Gerard has been cut.
Jones drives through with a takedown into Gerard's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jones is trying to get an arm triangle but Gerard is defending well.

Jones lands a nice forearm strike.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Gerard is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jones yanks on the arm and Gerard is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jones.
