The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abessera wants to clinch.
Abessera cracks Roy with an open hand slap.
Roy shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Abessera looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Roy on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Abessera throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Roy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Roy shoots in for a double leg but Abessera sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Abessera closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Abessera keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mellissa Roy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Abessera moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Abessera scores with the left hand. Roy knows he should have avoided that one.
Oh Roy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Roy seems to have got his legs back now.

Roy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Roy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Abessera as he avoids it easily.
