PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cyrus Grissom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Samson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samson has chosen The Venture Brothers Opening Theme as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cyrus Grissom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brock Samson!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grissom moves out of range of the strikes.
Samson scores with a hook.
Grissom slips under a jab.
Samson misses with a looping left.
Samson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Grissom.
A combination from Samson does no damage.
Grissom with a poor takedown
and Samson counters with an outside leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Samson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Samson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Samson tries to score with a low kick but Grissom moves his leg out of the way.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grissom takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Samson scores with a jab to the jaw.
Grissom has his takedown stuffed
and Samson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Grissom is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Samson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Grissom tries to get into range but Samson steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Grissom! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Samson scores the big KO victory!
