The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A choreographed right hand from Anthony Jr misses the target.
Anthony Jr stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Anthony Jr digs a good body shot into Vlad's ribs.
Anthony Jr throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vlad.
Vlad could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Anthony Jr slow jab from Vlad misses its intended target.
Vlad keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Anthony Jr misses with a two punch combination.
Vlad shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Anthony Jr as he avoids it easily.
Anthony Jr comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Vlad uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Anthony Jr.
Anthony Jr throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Vlad tumbling to the canvas!

This has been an exciting period of action!

Vlad working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anthony Jr doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anthony Jr manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Oh Vlad is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vlad is breathing heavily.
Anthony Jr is looking to stand up but Vlad won't let him.
Anthony Jr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vlad. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Vlad has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anthony Jr can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Vlad seems to have got his legs back now.
