James's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, We Want The Funk by George Clinton & the P-Funk Allstars. Freddy James has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Freddy James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bon Kenneth Fitzgibbon!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzgibbon shoots in but no luck this time.
Fitzgibbon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Some wild striking there from Fitzgibbon.
Fitzgibbon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
An inside leg kick lands from James.
James looks to score with a jab to the body but Fitzgibbon is just out of range.
Fitzgibbon throws a hook to the side of James's head but James sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
James stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
James stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and James wants it to stay on the feet.
Decent striking displayed by James there.
Fitzgibbon misses with a straight left.
James pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Fitzgibbon back to the cage. James follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
James slaps away a takedown attempt from Fitzgibbon, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Freddy James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bon Kenneth Fitzgibbon.
James throws a head kick that misses.
Fitzgibbon fails to land with a series of punches.
James lands a nice shot to the body.
James displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fitzgibbon.

James closes the distance but Fitzgibbon moves to the side
and Fitzgibbon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
James stuffs the takedown attempt from Fitzgibbon. Fitzgibbon gets slowly back to his feet.
Fitzgibbon needs to keep his hands up - James had a free shot at his head there.
James scores with a sloppy right hand. Fitzgibbon should have avoided that one.
James scores with a nice strike.
A slow jab from Fitzgibbon misses its intended target.
Fitzgibbon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Fitzgibbon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fitzgibbon looks gassed!
James tries to close the distance and clinch but Fitzgibbon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fitzgibbon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
James dips to his left and cracks Fitzgibbon with an uppercut!
Fitzgibbon takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
James lands a jab to Fitzgibbon's midsection.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fitzgibbon throws a nice looking combination but James bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fitzgibbon looks for a takedown but James sprawls well.
James slips a jab and a cross from Fitzgibbon.
James is looking to clinch but Fitzgibbon is avoiding it.
Nice straight punches there by James. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of James.
Fitzgibbon is trying desperately to land a takedown but James is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Fitzgibbon.

James clinches with his opponent.
James lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Fitzgibbon has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Fitzgibbon can't break the clinch.
James lands a right hand that snaps the head of Fitzgibbon backwards.
Nice body punch from James.
James gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Fitzgibbon wants to break free but James has control.
Fitzgibbon is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
James is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
James cracks Fitzgibbon with a nice body shot.
A bit of stalling here from James.

James scores with a nice hook to the head.
Fitzgibbon is trying to force a seperation but James has the dominant position.
A right hook to the body lands for James.
James working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

James escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
James is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Fitzgibbon swinging wildly here.
James lands with a thumping leg kick.
Fitzgibbon on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
James fails with an attempt to clinch.
James dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

James gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
James throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
James scores with a shoulder strike.

James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
James lands with a slapping head kick.


Fitzgibbon is rocked!
James lands a nice shot to the body.
Fitzgibbon is still on wobbly legs! Can James finish him?
James fails in his attempt to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nice body punch from James.
James fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fitzgibbon on the side of the head.
Fitzgibbon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around James's waist but James gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fitzgibbon off to one side.
Freddy James is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
James getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Fitzgibbon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
James lets loose with a powerful body kick. Fitzgibbon will feel that in the morning.
James connects with a looping right hand.
Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by James! Fitzgibbon is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!
