The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dong misses with a takedown attempt - Whitewas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Whitewas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dong sprawls well initially but Whitewas persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Dong wants to improve his position but Whitewas is controlling well.
Dong is controlling Whitewas's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Dong works his way to full guard. Good work.
Whitewas trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dong's guard.

Dong had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Whitewas is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Dong Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Whitewas's back instead.

Whitewas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dong doesn't have the hooks in and Whitewas manages to turn into his guard.

Dong wants to stand and escape but Whitewas is having none of it.

Whitewas drops back looking for a leg! Dong is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dong manages to kick Whitewas off! Whitewas jumps back into Dong's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Whitewas has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Dong to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Whitewas is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Dong pulls down on the head and he's put Whitewas to sleep! This one is all over!
