Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries to clinch there but Marley circles away.
Marley circles away from the clinch attempt.
Marley shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Johnson eats them both and turns towards Marley to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Johnson is looking to clinch but Marley is avoiding it.
No joy there for Marley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kenny Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson throws a head kick but Marley moves out of range.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Marley checks a leg kick.

Marley dips to his left and cracks Johnson with an uppercut!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Marley lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Marley.
Johnson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Marley connects with a right hand. Johnson shakes it off.
Marley fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Johnson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Johnson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Marley finds it's way round the side to connect with Johnson's head.
Johnson tries to bum rush Marley with a series of wild strikes but Marley uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Johnson tries to clinch but Marley is having none of it.
Marley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Marley lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Marley comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Johnson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Marley paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Marley scores with a body shot.
Marley cracks Johnson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Johnson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Marley pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Johnson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rudy Marley!
