The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gillmeister lunges at Deadpool with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Deadpool's hand.

It looks like Wade Deadpool has been cut.
Gillmeister missing with a left hand there. Deadpool was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gillmeister throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Deadpool sees it coming and avoids it easily.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Deadpool makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gillmeister really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Deadpool. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Deadpool is working Gillmeister over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Gillmeister can't keep his opponent in guard - Deadpool advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
