Rua's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, IF YOU WANT BLOOD YOU GOT IT!!!. Marco Rua is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Rua or perhaps it was just good defense by Marx which made him look bad.
Rua looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Marx throws a head kick that misses.
Marx closes the distance and clinches.
Rua throws a knee to the head but misses.
Marx tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Rua gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Rua lands a right hand that snaps the head of Marx backwards.
Rua blocks an uppercut.
Rua stalls.
Marx misses with a punch on the inside.
Marx throws a punch but it's blocked by Rua.
Rua leaning against his opponent.
Rua has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Marx avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Rua lands a shoulder strike.
Rua tries to work over Marx's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Marx misses with a body punch.
Rua tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Marx avoids it.
Marx tries to break free but Rua pushes him back against the cage.
Marx misses with some punches.
Marx avoids a wild elbow strike from Rua.
Marx throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Rua tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Marx breaks the clinch.
Marx swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rua.
It looks like Marco Rua has been cut.
Rua takes one on the chin but seems OK.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rua dodges the punch combination from Marx.
Marx avoids a kick to the body.

Marx misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rua.
Marx throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rua counters with a leg kick.
A head kick misses from Marx.
Rua tries a head kick but it misses.
Marx gets in close and instigates a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Marx.
Rua blocking some punches.
Marx misses with a hook to the ribs.
Rua creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Rua trying to land knees to the body.
Rua pushes off an throws an elbow but Marx leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Rua has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Marx avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Marx lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rua backwards.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Marx creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Rua tries for a takedown but Marx manages to get underhooks.
Rua is breathing heavily.

Rua is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Marx is defending well for now.
Marx makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Still in the clinch, Rua scores with a nice short uppercut.
Rua is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Marx is keeping busy.
Rua prevents Marx from breaking the clinch.
Marx misses with a body punch.
Marx lands with a left to the head.
Marx lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Rua is rocked!
Marx's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Oh Rua is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rua backs away from a small jab...but Marx lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Rua crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Marx with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Aiden Marx!
