The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Desjardins shoots in for a takedown but Henderson shows good takedown defense.

Henderson rushes Desjardins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Henderson breaks the clinch.
Desjardins fails to land the takedown.
Desjardins drops his hands momentarily and Henderson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

It looks like Francois Desjardins has been cut.
Desjardins looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Colby Henderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francois Desjardins.
Henderson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Desjardins is defended easily by Henderson.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Desjardins shoots in looking for a takedown but Henderson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Desjardins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Desjardins shoots for a takedown but Henderson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Henderson throws a nice looking combination but Desjardins bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Desjardins slips a jab from Henderson.
Desjardins shoots in but no luck this time.
Desjardins shoots in for a takedown but Henderson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Henderson slaps away a takedown attempt from Desjardins, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Henderson stuffs the takedown attempt from Desjardins. Desjardins gets slowly back to his feet.
Desjardins looks gassed!
Desjardins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Henderson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Desjardins.

Henderson misses with an uppercut. Desjardins saw that one coming.
Desjardins shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Henderson as he jumps to the side.
Henderson stuffs the takedown.
A shot to the liver by Henderson. Beautiful body shot.
Henderson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Left hook, right uppercut from Desjardins.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Henderson takes a swing at Desjardins's ribcage but misses.
Nice sprawl there from Henderson as Desjardins shoots in.
Desjardins with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Henderson to score with a decent uppercut.

Henderson drops Desjardins with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Desjardins looks back up at him and smiles so Henderson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Desjardins is rocked!
Henderson lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Desjardins up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Henderson from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Desjardins's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
