PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Phoenic Granvill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonnie Boardwalk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Phoenic Granvill has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Phoenic Granvill seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Boardwalk there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Granvill fails with an attempt to clinch.

Granvill gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Granvill is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Boardwalk is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jonnie Boardwalk.
Boardwalk leaves Granvill with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boardwalk looks up at the clock and then as Granvill takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Boardwalk smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jonnie Boardwalk hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Boardwalk looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Granvill with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Boardwalk! Granvill is hurt baaadly! Boardwalk is firing away with more strikes - Granvill is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
