PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Puska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Jeremy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Puska kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rähinä Räp. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Puska!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ron Jeremy!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puska misses with a straight left.
Jeremy connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Jeremy throws a hook to the side of Puska's head but Puska sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jeremy slaps away a takedown attempt from Puska, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jeremy throws a sloppy head kick and Puska moves out of range easily.
Jeremy listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.


It looks like Mike Puska has been cut.
Jeremy just misses with a punch to the body.
Puska takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Jeremy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jeremy misses with a kick to the body.
Jeremy throws a leg kick but Puska sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Puska manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jeremy on his heels. He'll look to pass Jeremy's guard now, I'm sure.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Puska wants to pass to mount but Jeremy is defending the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Puska tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jeremy knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Jeremy connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Puska takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Puska moves forwards but Jeremy connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Puska takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Puska drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Puska on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Puska gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Jeremy.
Jeremy uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jeremy lands a left and a right that send Puska crashing to the mat, dazed. Jeremy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Oh Puska is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jeremy is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Puska had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Puska throws a series of punches but Jeremy avoids them all with ease.
Puska seems to have got his legs back now.

Jeremy clobbers Puska with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Puska changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jeremy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jeremy tries to buck Puska off but Puska is having none of it.

Puska tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Puska swings around for an armbar but Jeremy sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Puska's guard.

Puska is trying to stand up here but Jeremy is controlling him well.

Puska is looking to get back to his feet here but Jeremy is keeping cool and he's managed to take Puska's back.

Jeremy is riding his opponent, not letting Puska buck him off.
Puska controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mike Puska will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Puska clobbers Jeremy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Jeremy lands a lovely overhand right.
Puska closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jeremy circles away.
Nice uppercut there from Jeremy.
Puska slips under a jab.

Ron Jeremy seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jeremy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Puska has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Puska and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Puska fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jeremy avoids it really well and circles away.

Jeremy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jeremy has his hands on Puska's head, controlling the position.

Puska drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jeremy dives on top into guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Puska shoots for a takedown but Jeremy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jeremy misses with a hook. Puska ducked under it nicely.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Jeremy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Puska shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jeremy sprawls well. Jeremy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Puska gets slowly back to his feet.

I think Jeremy has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
