Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vitaliy Kleva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simpson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Fire by The Roots. Steven Simpson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steven Simpson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simpson is looking to clinch but Kleva is avoiding it.
Horrible takedown by Simpson or perhaps it was just good defense by Kleva which made him look bad.

Kleva shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Simpson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Simpson manages to get back to half guard.
Kleva looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Simpson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kleva throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Kleva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kleva working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Simpson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kleva scores with a couple of nice shots.
Kleva throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Simpson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Kleva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Simpson on the ground.

Simpson pushes a forearm under Kleva's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Kleva is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
