Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Beauvais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott Beauvais has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Beauvais!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zack Morrison!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrison tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Beauvais was well out of range. Poor timing from Morrison.
Morrison swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Beauvais holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Morrison gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Morrison wants to stand but Beauvais has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Beauvais gets full guard.

Morrison decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Morrison closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Beauvais is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Morrison is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Beauvais is trying to stick to Morrison's back but Morrison is turning into Beauvais. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Beauvais's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Morrison.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Morrison stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beauvais swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Beauvais manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Morrison reaches up to try and control the position but Beauvais seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Morrison rolls and tries to escape and now Beauvais has his back!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Zack Morrison will probably get the nod.

Morrison pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Beauvais back to the cage. Morrison follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Morrison really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beauvais. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Morrison is pressed up against the cage. Beauvais has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Morrison down to the mat. Morrison avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Morrison shoots for a takedown but Beauvais saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Beauvais tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Morrison manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Zack Morrison is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Morrison is looking to take a break and control but Beauvais is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

I would just about give that final round to Zack Morrison.
Well Morrison has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
