The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Willemoes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Willemoes working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Willemoes lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Han is looking to stand up but Willemoes isn't so interested in that idea.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Willemoes sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Han's guard.
Willemoes lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Willemoes is looking for a kimura but Han is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Willemoes to get the leverage.
Willemoes slips a nice elbow through Han's hands, connecting with Han's forehead.
Han tries to kick Willemoes off but Willemoes keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Willemoes passes the guard and advances to mount!

It looks like Sando Han has been cut.
Han squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Willemoes scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Han?

That has opened up Sando Han's cut even more.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Willemoes is landing with some decent strikes but Han is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The cut above Sando Han's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sando Han's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sando Han's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
