Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Helio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albatross Kingfisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Albatross Kingfisher was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Helio Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Albatross Kingfisher!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingfisher tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nice takedown defense from Kingfisher. No joy for Gracie on that attempt.
Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kingfisher tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Albatross Kingfisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kingfisher throws a right hand that Gracie ducks under and follows up with a left that Gracie also avoids with ease.
Kingfisher tries to bum rush Gracie with a series of wild strikes but Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Kingfisher which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Helio Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie shoots in but Kingfisher avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kingfisher pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kingfisher misses with a wild body shot.
Gracie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kingfisher.
Kingfisher throws a head kick but Gracie moves out of range.

Gracie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Kingfisher keeps moving.

Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kingfisher manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Kingfisher in his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Gracie is looking to sinch up a triangle. Kingfisher throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gracie's body to avoid the submission. Gracie has instead reached around Kingfisher's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gracie arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Helio Gracie!
