Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between War Tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Bummer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, War Tank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Robert Bummer!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Bummer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Bummer gets the takedown into side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Tank is looking to regain half guard here but Bummer keeps moving and retains side control.
Tank on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tank tries to get out of the position.
Bummer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tank keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Tank's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Tank is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tank tries to hold on but Bummer pushes him away.
Bummer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Robert Bummer has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Tank fails in his attempt to clinch.

Tank changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bummer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The strikes coming from Tank are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Tank wants to control but Bummer is keeping him busy.
Bummer is trying to control Tank's posture but Tank avoids it.
Bummer manages to work his way to half guard, despite Tank's best efforts.

Bummer avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Tank.

Tank is nestled in close to Bummer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tank wants to free his trapped foot but Bummer is holding on for dear life with his legs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tank is looking to advance position but Bummer won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that War Tank will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Bummer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tank manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tank keeps the fight on the outside.
Tank misses with a two punch combination.
Tank throws a right hand that Bummer ducks under and follows up with a left that Bummer also avoids with ease.
No luck for Bummer with that takedown attempt.
Bummer closes the distance and clinches up with Tank, looking for a takedown. Bummer pushes Tank against the cage but Tank circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

War Tank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Bummer.
Tank bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.


It looks like Robert Bummer has been cut.
Bummer should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bummer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Tank counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bummer!

Tank is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bummer is surviving well by controlling Tank's body position as best he can.

Bummer is just holding on here. Tank manages to take his back.
War Tank overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Tank really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Bummer.

Tank wants to control but Bummer is keeping busy.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tank looking for the choke from the back.
Tank is trying to stick to Bummer's back but Bummer is turning into Tank. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Tank's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Bummer.

Tank bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bummer's guard.

Tank wants to control from the top but Bummer keeps moving.
Tank working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Bummer wants to sweep but no luck.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up because War Tank just wasn't active enough.
Bummer shoots in looking for a takedown but Tank manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bummer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bummer tries to clinch up but Tank circles away and keeps his distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Tank counters with a shoot takedown. Bummer fights it but they end up in guard.
Tank cracks Bummer with a solid left hand.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of War Tank.
Bummer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Tank had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bummer defends it easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bummer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bummer is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Tank has managed to free his arm - good work.
Robert Bummer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
War Tank is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Tank is defending against the submission attempts here by Bummer.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to War Tank.
Well Tank has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
