Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Shmoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dalla Lauderdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dalla Lauderdale is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shmoe fails with a takedown attempt.
Lauderdale lands with a straight right. Shmoe didn't see that one coming.
Lauderdale connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Shmoe momentarily.
Lauderdale scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Shmoe tries to close the distance and clinch but Lauderdale swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lauderdale scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Lauderdale uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Shmoe has time to react.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lauderdale stuffs the takedown attempt from Shmoe. Shmoe gets slowly back to his feet.
Shmoe throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lauderdale counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lauderdale is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Shmoe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lauderdale as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Shmoe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shmoe moves in looking to clinch but Lauderdale pushes him off.

Shmoe fails with the takedown
and Lauderdale counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lauderdale lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shmoe circles away quickly and effectively.
Lauderdale jabs Shmoe to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Shmoe darts in and clinches Lauderdale up against the cage.
Lauderdale stops a takedown attempt from Shmoe.
Shmoe swings wildly with an uppercut but Lauderdale uses good head movement to avoid it.

Shmoe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lauderdale has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Shmoe fails to land the takedown.
Shmoe is breathing heavily.
Lauderdale throws a right and a left that both miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Shmoe.
Lauderdale connects with the punch.
Joe Shmoe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shmoe throws a head kick that misses
and Lauderdale counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Shmoe has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Shmoe there as he acknowledges the shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Lauderdale darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Shmoe is rocked!
Lauderdale drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Shmoe right on the button. Shmoe goes down! Lauderdale follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Lauderdale gets the win via TKO!
