The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva is trying to push Boubeez away but Boubeez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Boubeez throws a punch but it's blocked by Silva.
Boubeez drops down looking for an ankle pick but Silva pulls his leg out and moves away.
Boubeez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Silva.

Silva throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Boubeez misses with an uppercut.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Silva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Boubeez.
Anderson Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boubeez will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Silva attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Silva looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
That has opened up Anderson Silva's cut even more.
Boubeez scores with a decent looking hook.

Silva pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Boubeez fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Silva.
Silva throws a head kick but Boubeez moves out of range.
Silva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Boubeez.
Boubeez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Boubeez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Boubeez wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.
