The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darian misses with a kick to the body.
Keersmaekers is trying hard to land a takedown here. Darian sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Darian gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Darian stands up and beckons Keersmaekers to his feet.

Keersmaekers is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Darian throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Keersmaekers because Darian loaded up on that one.
Keersmaekers tries to reverse the position but Darian maintains control.

Darian has hold of Keersmaekers's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Keersmaekers manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
