Maia shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Maia was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Maia is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Yamaski can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yamaski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maia on the ground.
Maia wants to control the pace but Yamaski is squirming around nicely.

Maia is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Yamaski has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Maia has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Yamaski taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Maia doesn't care though - he's delighted!
