The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coutour is looking to clinch.

Exavier throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Coutour tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Exavier is in Coutour's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Exavier is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Exavier has gone for a leg lock! Coutour slips out almost immediately though and dives into Exavier's guard.

Coutour avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Exavier had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Coutour defends it easily.

Exavier is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Coutour frees his head nicely. Oh but Exavier has switched to an armbar! Coutour is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
