Francis Begbie's cut is getting worse.
Begbie closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Norris checks a low kick from Begbie.
No joy there for Norris, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Norris throws a series of punches but Begbie moves out of range.

and Norris counters with a three punch combo that has Begbie backing up. Begbie nods at Norris to acknowledge the strikes.

Begbie is rocked!
Norris throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Begbie's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Norris dives in looking to finish as Begbie flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Norris's strikes! Norris is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Begbie's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Begbie was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
