Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Punch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dan Severn has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dan Severn seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severn swats away the attempt to clinch by Punch.
Punch throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Severn.
The fight stays on the outside here - Punch looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Severn gets tackled into the cage by Punch. Punch maintains the clinch.
Punch is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Severn pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Severn wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Severn has picked Punch up - he's going for a ride! Severn dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Punch pushes Severn off and gets back to his feet.
Punch stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like Dan Severn has been cut.

Punch drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Punch prevents Severn from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Severn keeping moving, preventing Punch from controlling successfully.
Severn is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Punch is controlling him.
Severn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Severn tries to get out of the position.
Punch trying to control but Severn is working from the bottom.
Severn wants to stand up but Punch is controlling him.
Punch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Severn swivels though and keeps the full guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Chris Punch has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Punch misses with a series of wild punches.

Punch darts in and clinches Severn up against the cage.
Severn is trying to break free.
Severn drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Punch gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Punch has Severn pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Punch pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Severn tumbling to the mat - Punch dives into Severn's guard.
Punch slips nicely into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Punch in particular looking to stall.
Severn tries to kick Punch off but Punch keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Punch is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Severn pushes Punch off looking to stand but Punch dives back in and keeps control.

Punch takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Punch tries to pass the half guard into mount. Severn knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Severn pushes Punch off looking to stand but Punch dives back in and keeps control.
Punch works his way into side control.
Severn is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Jeez, Dan Severn's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
