Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nuppu Lupaus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Velasqz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasqz comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Champ is Here kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Cain Velasqz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lupaus drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lupaus jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Velasqz has his foot on Lupaus's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lupaus works his way back into a safe position though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Velasqz isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lupaus stacks Velasqz on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lupaus!

That was a close round but I would say that Nuppu Lupaus will probably get the nod.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Velasqz.
Nuppu Lupaus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lupaus closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Velasqz did well to prevent Lupaus getting side control.
