Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Ben or perhaps it was just good defense by Te Patu which made him look bad.
Te Patu gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ben counters with a one-two to the body.
Ben has his takedown stuffed
and Te Patu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ben fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ben misses with a takedown attempt
and Te Patu counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Big Ben. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ben throws a left and a right that both miss
and Te Patu counters with a shoot takedown. Ben fights it but they end up in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Te Patu lands a couple of elbows.
Ben on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ben tries to get out of the position.

Te Patu scores with a big shot! Ben's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Ben! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
