PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Mingle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Great Finisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Great Finisher is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Mingle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Great Finisher!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mingle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Finisher tries to avoid it but Mingle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Finisher to the ground. Finisher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mingle is breathing heavily.

Finisher clinches.
Mingle stops a takedown attempt from Finisher.
Finisher unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Finisher has Mingle pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Finisher pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mingle tumbling to the mat - Finisher dives into Mingle's guard.

Finisher drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Finisher jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Finisher stands and steps away. Mingle gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Finisher throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Don Mingle's cut is getting worse.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Finisher lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mingle circles away quickly and effectively.
A head kick misses from Finisher.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Finisher lands a jab to the head.
Mingle stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mingle wants it to stay on the feet.
Finisher keeps the fight on the outside.

Finisher shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Mingle trying to get back to full guard but Finisher takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Mingle is desperately trying to improve his position but Finisher has a good base and remains in mount.
Finisher raining down hammerfists from mount.

Finisher is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Finisher extends the arm and Mingle is forced to tap!
