Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Kakihara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sean Price!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Price closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Price lands in his opponent's guard.
Kakihara keeping moving, preventing Price from controlling successfully.
Kakihara manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Price manages to get himself to full guard.

Thiago Kakihara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Price.

Price's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Let's hope that Price has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Price wants to stand up but Kakihara is controlling the position.
Kakihara slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kakihara has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Price can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Price thows a big elbow that misses.

Kakihara looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Price is defending well. Kakihara quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Price has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Kakihara celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
