The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkoff misses with a takedown attempt - Rogov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rogov darts in and clinches Volkoff up against the cage.
Volkoff goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rogov prevents it.
Volkoff tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Rogov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Rogov wanted to stand there but Volkoff had control of the position.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Rogov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Volkoff moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Volkoff tries to lock up and control but Rogov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rogov throws a leg kick but Volkoff sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Volkoff is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rogov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Volkoff rushes Rogov and presses him up against the cage.
Volkoff controlling the action here for a moment.
Volkoff ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Volkoff no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Volkoff wants to stand but Rogov is controlling the position.
Rogov gets to his feet - Volkoff follows without any prompting.
Rogov is looking to clinch.

Volkoff has managed to clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rogov blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Volkoff looking for a takedown.
Rogov breaks from the clinch.
Both fighters circling a little - Rogov finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Danga de danga de dang - Rogov scores with a four punch combination!
Alexander Rogov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Volkoff enables Rogov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Volkoff manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rogov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Volkoff swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rogov is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Rogov gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Rogov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rogov moves into the clinch successfully.
Volkoff looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Volkoff is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Rogov successfully pulls guard.
Volkoff gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Rogov shoots in and bounces Volkoff off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Rogov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Volkoff. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Volkoff is trying to keep Rogov in close.

Volkoff manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rogov manages to get himself to full guard.

Rogov is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Rogov has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Volkoff has passed into side control.
Volkoff has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Rogov is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Volkoff yanks on the arm and Rogov is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Volkoff.
