Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Eriksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duncan Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ivan Eriksson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Duncan Ferguson!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Ferguson.
A right-left combo lands from Eriksson.
Eriksson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Eriksson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ferguson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Eriksson as he jumps to the side.
Ferguson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Eriksson counters with an outside leg kick.

Eriksson tries to keep at a distance but Ferguson has taken the fight into the clinch.

Eriksson manages to break the clinch.
Eriksson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Eriksson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ferguson.

Eriksson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
An elbow from Eriksson crashes against the mat.

Eriksson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ferguson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Eriksson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ferguson to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Eriksson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Eriksson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Eriksson has control of Ferguson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ferguson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Eriksson has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Ferguson is forced to tap!
