Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Federov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaecon Sinton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pablo Federov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jaecon Sinton!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sinton fails with a takedown attempt.
Federov throws a series of punches but Sinton avoids them all with ease.
Sinton throws a head kick but Federov moves out of range.
Sinton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Sinton tries to keep at a distance but Federov has taken the fight into the clinch.

Federov manages to break the clinch.
Federov pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Federov gets a clinch.
Sinton has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Federov is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Sinton has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Federov avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Pablo Federov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jaecon Sinton.
Sinton is looking to control Federov's arms but Federov gets an underhook and turns him. Now Sinton has his back to the cage.

Federov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Federov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Sinton wants to get up but he can't break Federov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Sinton working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Federov's head.

Federov looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Sinton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sinton seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jaecon Sinton was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Sinton has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Federov avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Federov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sinton tries to clinch there but Federov circles away.
Sinton looks for a takedown but Federov sprawls well.
Sinton wants to clinch.
Sinton shoots in but no luck this time.
Sinton shoots for a double leg takedown but Federov sprawls well. He's pushed Sinton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Federov closes the distance and clinches.
Federov drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sinton pulls his leg out and moves away.

Federov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sinton tries to avoid it but Federov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sinton to the ground. Sinton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Federov has managed to clinch.
Sinton on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Federov wants a takedown but no success here.
Sinton tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sinton looking to throw knees to the head but Federov is blocking nicely.
Federov fails to pull guard.

Federov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Federov dives in and grabs Sinton's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sinton pushes down on Federov's head and hops out.
Sinton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Federov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sinton defends it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sinton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Federov is fending him off so far but Sinton persists. Nope, Federov circles away and we're back to standing.

Sinton shoots for a takedown but Federov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sinton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Federov swivels and escapes.

Sinton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Federov's waist but Federov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sinton off to one side.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sinton stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sinton wants it to stay on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Federov shoots in for a takedown but Sinton shows good takedown defense.
Federov leaves Sinton with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sinton throws a head kick but Federov moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Pablo Federov will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Sinton misses with a takedown attempt - Federov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sinton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Federov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sinton finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
No luck for Federov with that takedown attempt.
Federov shoots in but Sinton avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Federov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sinton sprawls well. Sinton wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Federov gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pablo Federov. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Federov is trying to drag Sinton to the mat but Sinton just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Federov has Sinton pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sinton manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Federov manages to break the clinch.

Federov closes the distance and pushes Sinton back into the cage.
Federov misses with a body punch.
Federov prevents the takedown attempt.

Federov pulls guard effortlessly.
Sinton trying to control but Federov is working from the bottom.
Sinton advances to half guard.
Sinton wants to free his trapped foot but Federov is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Sinton is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Federov is just riding it out for now. Sinton eventually gives up the hold.

and Sinton counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Jaecon Sinton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Federov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sinton but Sinton pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Federov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Federov.
Sinton shoots in but no luck this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Pablo Federov will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Sinton fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Federov avoids it really well and circles away.

Federov looking for subs off his back but Sinton has passed one foot through into half guard.
Sinton wants to pass the guard but Federov is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Federov has a hand on Sinton's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Sinton takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Federov holds on to Sinton as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
Federov is looking to get to half guard.
Sinton trying to control but Federov is having none of it.

Sinton with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Sinton shoots in looking for a takedown. Federov tries to sprawl out of it but Sinton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Federov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Pablo Federov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pablo Federov.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Federov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
