And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Ribiero!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribiero doesn't manage to clinch there - Hatton circles away.
Ribiero pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Horrible takedown by Ribiero or perhaps it was just good defense by Hatton which made him look bad.
Ribiero throws a push kick but Hatton slaps the foot to one side.
Ribiero keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Hatton drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hatton wants to control but Ribiero is keeping him busy.
Ribiero is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hatton's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Hatton not doing much here.
Ribiero won't allow Hatton to pass to mount.

Ribiero is staying active underneath Hatton, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Ribiero taking some punishment here, with Hatton in his half guard.
Hatton wants to control but Ribiero is keeping him busy.
Ribiero is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hatton scores with a couple of nice shots.
Hatton is looking to advance position but Ribiero won't allow it.
Hatton landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Hatton performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Hatton is pressing down on Ribiero's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ribiero is holding on for now.

Ribiero wants to control but Hatton is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Hatton works his way into full mount!
Hatton lands with some strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hatton is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Ribiero to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Ribiero shrugs it off.
Hatton looking to finish Ribiero with some ground and pound. This is bad for Ribiero!


Ribiero is rocked!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ribiero keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ribiero is still in real trouble! Can Hatton finish him?

Ribiero seems to have recovered his senses.
Hatton looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Ribiero covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
