The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lance looks to land a combination but Yaquob avoids it well.
Lance with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Lance closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Yaquob looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Lance breaks from the clinch.
Yaquob blocks a head kick by Lance.
Lance lands with a kick to the temple. Yaquob shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Jamal Yaquob has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yaquob takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Lance throws a body punch but Yaquob moves out of range.

Yaquob gets caught flat footed, as Lance shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Lance passes Yaquob's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Lance is controlling the pace.

Lance is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Lance is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Yaquob defends it well.

Lance takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lance looking for a guillotine from mount but Yaquob is having none of it.
