Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake colby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Gormel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gormel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around colby's waist but colby gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gormel off to one side.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
colby tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gormel swivels and escapes.

Still in half guard, colby seems content to control.
Gormel wants to improve his position but colby is controlling well.

colby seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gormel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

colby wants the takedown. Gormel is fighting it off but colby persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gormel's guard against the cage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
colby is taking a breather. Gormel says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Gormel's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for colby, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
