Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zeljko Kerum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksei Belov!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Kerum counters with a takedown into side control.
Kerum working away.
Belov tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Belov can't do much from the bottom here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kerum throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Kerum working the ground and pound but Belov is defending the strikes.
Kerum working the strikes but Belov uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Belov is controlling Kerum's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Belov is looking for a sweep. Kerum is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kerum is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Belov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kerum.

Kerum is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kerum is trying to control the action in half guard but Belov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Belov gets back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kerum postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Belov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kerum, into his guard.

Kerum is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Belov defends well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kerum keeping moving, preventing Belov from controlling successfully.

Kerum has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Belov should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kerum has tightened it up now! Belov should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
