PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Neil McKenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McKenzie is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kennedy's half guard.
Kennedy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McKenzie is working away from the top position though.

McKenzie uses his free foot to push down on Kennedy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kennedy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kennedy tries to lock up and control but McKenzie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
McKenzie scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Kennedy?

It looks like Leon Kennedy has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kennedy is rocked!
Oooooh, big shot lands for McKenzie! Kennedy is hurt baaadly! McKenzie is firing away with more strikes - Kennedy is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
