Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Melartin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stone Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melartin comes to the cage accompanied by Pennywise- Homesick . Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Phillips throws a right and a left that both miss.
Phillips misses with a body shot.
Phillips throws a hook but Melartin blocks it.
Melartin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Melartin moves out of range as Phillips strikes.

Phillips cracks Melartin with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Stone Phillips seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Phillips tries to bum rush Melartin with a series of wild strikes but Melartin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Melartin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Phillips's half guard.

Melartin seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Phillips for as long as he can get away with.
Melartin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
