Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Dredd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawkins's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, "Tubthumping" by Chumbawumba. Dredd is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Static X = Push it. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Dredd throws an overhand right that lands on Hawkins's shoulder, as Hawkins tries to avoid the shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dredd.
Dredd throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Dredd counters with a right hand to the body.

Dredd tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hawkins was well out of range. Poor timing from Dredd.
Dredd is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hawkins.

Dredd changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hawkins tries to avoid it but Dredd manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hawkins to the ground. Hawkins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dredd seems to have recovered his senses.

Hawkins lands a big right hand that sends Dredd crashing to the mat! Hawkins stays standing though and waves Dredd back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Dredd throws a hook to the side of Hawkins's head but Hawkins sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dave Hawkins is winning the standup battle so far.
Hawkins finds Dredd's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Dredd flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Hawkins lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Dredd will be OK.
