Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elmo Lupe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lupe comes to the cage accompanied by Going The Distance. Palmer is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Not Now James,we're busy. Roy Palmer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer misses with a takedown attempt - Lupe sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Palmer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lupe is fending him off so far but Palmer persists. Nope, Lupe circles away and we're back to standing.
Palmer avoids the body shot from Lupe.
Palmer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lupe but Lupe pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Elmo Lupe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Palmer.
Palmer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lupe throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lupe throws a hook but Palmer avoids it easily.
Palmer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lupe.
Lupe throws a jab but it's blocked by Palmer.
Palmer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lupe.
Lupe just misses with a punch to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Palmer.

and Palmer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Palmer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Palmer wants to control from the top but Lupe keeps moving.
Palmer advances position into side control!
Palmer grinds an elbow into Lupe's temple.
Palmer throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Lupe works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Palmer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lupe doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Palmer.

Palmer has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Palmer postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lupe looks a forlorn figure.
Palmer lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Lupe is rocked!

Palmer with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Oh Lupe is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Palmer throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Lupe has his hands clasped together but Palmer breaks the hold and Lupe is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Palmer!
