The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Nolan misses.
Alvez ducks under a wild hook from Nolan.

and Alvez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nolan won't be happy with that.
Alvez is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Alvez creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Nolan sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Alvez is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Nolan looks calm but he's in trouble here. Alvez gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Nolan is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Alvez lets go of the hold and Nolan can pop his arm back in it's socket.
